Ted set of to London, England to work for a spell in the City of London. His daily journey took him, by train and underground, from Chiswick to Bank station via "The Drain" or Waterloo & City line which travels underneath the River Thames. That train would stop frequently and, being driven by electric motors, a silence would descend upon it allowing the passengers to hear the drip, drip, drip of water from the Thames on the carriage roof. Very disconcerting and nothing whatsoever to do with ABBA.
