For you young things out there the strange revolving thing was called a record player and it worked by revolving a piece of plastic on a turntable whilst scratching it with a sharp needle.
The iPod generation doesn't know how fortunate it is!
Perhaps I'll do a series of such posts detailing Ted's listening choices through the ages.

Oh, yeah - that skritch, skritch, skritch of the player! I don't remember when this came out, but I do remember it, and also remember wondering what a bikini was! :-)
