Ted accompanied his Uncle Dick to the boat dock today after the thunderstorm to bale out excess water from his boat. Goodness knows how marine engines ever work given that they seem to sit permanently in a tub of water! Perhaps it's just as well the boat has a sail since the engine didn't look like you would want to rely on it in a life or death situation.This experience has not dampened (pardon the pun) Ted's enthusiasm for acquiring a boat; after all his idea of a boat differs somewhat from this model in that he is only after a small fishing platform in which to potter about Little Bay.

Great picture. And there isn't anything better than pottering about on the water, regardless of the size of the boat.
