Blowup of the year

We traded in our 2 year old blow up igloo for Santa on a pirate ship to continue Little Ted's current nautical theme.
Unfortunately, for Santa and his pirate ship, I just don't seem to be able to get my kids to distinguish between a blow up - to be looked at only, and a bouncy castle!
The life expectancy for this ornament is not as high as I would like.

From atop a 16 foot ladder

After Miss Molly wrapped her leash around my ladder I reckon this is the safest place for the dogs whilst the icicle lights are being put up!

Ex Thanksgiving dinner

Well that was good! It didn't last long!

The Meal

At least this year I managed to remember to take a picture before tucking into the food.

Shopping for Thanksgiving

This is Little Ted's idea of low profile whilst shopping!

Sunrise over Little Bay

Oh well, I missed the best light for this shot too.
Never mind it still shows what a beautiful morning it is here. I just wish I could go kayaking instead of working!

Religious blogging

Whilst collecting Little Ted from school I spotted what I thought was a good picture. Sadly it took me just a little too long to get out of school to capture the light I had seen.
Nevertheless I decided to use the picture to say that I will try to be more religious about posting to this blog since my recent absence has been noted by more people than I thought actually read my rambling stories!

Child proof no more

Now that Little Ted has reached his 6th birthday he can defy the child proof features of a butane lighter - I am thankful that we have fire extinguishers in our house!

Blogging by Blackberry has its problems

I thought I had rotated the last picture but alas no. Guess I'll just need to use all landscape pictures for my BBBP's (Blogging by Blackberry posts)
Here is a picture of the kids put to work on the Pinta.

Blogging again?

Well, maybe.
I still haven't figured out how to use Mrs Ted's new blogging software and have no idea when that may be achieved. In the meantime I shall experiment with blogging by Blackberry.
Here is a picture of Ted and his kids enjoying a museum visit in Corpus Christi recently.
Of course this does not help Dr Johnson over on "Toast" but he is eager to start blogging again too so keep watching - you never know when he might get a handle on Movable Type!

Never lose touch with your family ...

... or, before you know it, it's too late:

RIP Leonard Leslie Morrissey 1921 - 2008

My uncle passed away Monday 17th November 2008 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Although I have the excuse of living 5000 miles away now I did live within 25 miles of him for 20 years without ever making an effort to contact him.
The loss is mine and not redeemable - shame on me.
On the positive side this did prompt me to phone his younger brother in Canada and we had a good visit. 62 years in Canada and he and his wife still have broad Scottish accents.
