An eight year ambition achieved ...

Ted and his mother in law have been trying to walk over the Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge since New Years Day 2000 and finally achieved that ambition today.
Don't they just look so pleased with themselves.

Lots more photographs from their walk can be seen here, titled Corpus Christi.

Wow! I'm certainly impressed! I can't even drive in the lane closest to the edge, much less walk it.

What a gorgeous day to be out, and what fabulous shots you got - I thoroughly enjoyed the excursion even if it was vicariously. And look how tall those little Teddings are growing!

Please, oh, please, oh, please may I borrow your photo of the buttercup for my blog? They were a delight of childhood and still are today. We just have very few of them here . . . sniff . . . sniff. :-(

Great views, brought back happy memories of our time spent with you in Texas, had to smile at seeing the rust on the bridge and could not help thinking of the never ending Forth Road Bridges paint job!!

"I'm with Linda, don't think I've ever desired to walk across anything
that high.....
The kiddos sure are getting big. I really like Eddy's new 'do, even if
it wasn't planned. And I swear I could hear the guitar riff when I saw
the last picture of Little Ted!"
