(2009)

OK, I'm at a total loss so far this year. Maybe later on something decent will appear in the charts.
Until then here is what the British Broadcasting Company used to offer its' viewers after 10pm ish in the days before 24 hour media

Mamma Mia (2008)

Now I'm really struggling for anything "current" to listen to so I have cheated and looked at film rather than music.
I never really liked Meryl Streep but despite some critics being less than enthusiastic about her performance in "Mamma Mia" it has made me reassess my view of her as an actress. I think she did a fine job here so - enjoy.

Never Wanted Nothin' More (2007)

I give up with the "Top 100", the "Artists" no longer even have recognisable names (what is a Snoop Dog anyway?) never mind acceptable music and lyrics. So here is something from the Country scene instead.

I do not know what to call it

Seriously I don't! But there's one thing there's chocolate sprinkles on it.

Stars are blind (2006)

And deaf as well if this is anything to go by. Yes, the crazy heiress is even more annoying than the Crazy Frog.

Crazy Frog (2005)

Ted has to go with the most annoying song of the year since there were not any tuneful candidates throughout the entire 12 months.

Take my breath away (2004)

Oh how sweet Oprah, shame about the poor replica of the other film soundtrack version Ted recalls from the 80's
What was that I was saying about microphones and ....

Who are these people and would we care if it were not for processed microphones and amplifiers?

Can't get you out of my head (2002)

I'm afraid Ted has to admit a reluctant admiration for this diminutive antipodean actress (Neighbours) come singer. Oh well everyone has their dark secret hiding somewhere waiting to come out and this is Ted's !

Maria Maria (2000)

New decade, still no music to Ted's liking, better just go with Santana again. Of course Ted is too busy touring Scottish Castles and listening to Brave Combo with the crazy Texas womans' cousin to care:-) (see 1998)

You're Still the one (1998)

Ted dosn't like much in the way of current music these days but then he is too busy emailing that crazy woman in Texas anyway!

Candle in the Wind 1997 (Princess Diana)

The year of mass hysteria, unreasonable public empathy with one person, and public antipathy for an entire family; both entirely unwarranted!
A year dedicated to people who like to be told what and how to think.

Perhaps this is a more appropriate memory for those who enjoy mindless following - Barbie Girl

Macarena (1996)

Sing along, why don't you, to this awful piece of rubbish which has proved to be very popular and successful. One of its' claims to fame is rendering Al Gore motionless during its playing at the 1996 Democratic National Convention so it's obviously not as hot as global warming!

Another movie link I want to send myself

I've been listening to the Podcast that I accidentally uploaded the address for here on May 5th and have been enjoying same.
Here is a link to a site that the "Podcasters" have mentioned and it looks interesting:

No More "I Love You's" (1995)

What irritating oick decided to deny embedding between the time I wrote this post and the time it uploaded!
Publish and be damned I say - here is a link instead:

More Scottish-ness in the form of Annie Lennox, a Christmas baby och aye!

Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm (1994)

Ted attended a Crash Test Dummies concert in Glasgow, probably around 1997 - just another piece of trivia.

Embedding disabled by request - what an irritation but, not to worry, here is the link to Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm

Two Scottish brothers whose lyrics you may, or may not, understand!

Whilst on a Scottish theme; Rod Stewart also featured in 1993 with "Reason to Believe"

(Everything I Do) I Do It For You (1991)

The film "Robin Hood Prince of Thieves" produced this song which sustained Canadian, Mr Bryan Adams, in the Number 1 slot in the UK Singles Charts for sixteen consecutive weeks [a record - pardon the pun]
