Snow Tesco tonight

I forgot to take my cell phone home with me tonight and when I surveyed the options for dinner on the evening before my next Tesco delivery I determined to walk back through the snow over the fields to retrieve my phone and return via the local fish and chip shop. My choice for the evening - white pudding supper. For those who may not know, a white pudding is deep fried porridge and the supper bit means chips (french fries). This may seem odd to some of you until, perhaps, I point out that I could have had a deep fried Mars bar instead!
Mmmm white pudding supper with brown sauce, ahhhhhh - beats breaking into the SPAM mountain any day.

NOA1 for I129F received

Mrs Ted told me last night that she had received the confirmation that my visa journey has begun in earnest. This morning when I woke up I was confronted with this scene. Maybe she meant Noah and maybe I'm supposed to gather two of every species and take refuge in an ark.

Day 59.42 - It had to happen one day.

I have managed to resist for two months but there comes a time in everyones life when they have to face the awful truth about something. In my case that awful truth is that I have 5 tins of SPAM in the house and a further 6 in the garage. Something needs to be done about SPAM mountain and, as it seems unlikely that Brussels will pay me to destroy it, I have made a start on consuming it.
Perhaps my father in law will email me some of the recipes from the book I know he owns - the subject of which is SPAM and it's multivarious ways to be consumed :-)

Heading home the next day

I should know better than to tempt the weather fates. Here is the scene on Friday evening when, I have to admit, I got a lift home from Angie.
Still the weather in Biggar is not as severe as other areas of the country. The overnight temperature was 14F but we are still relatively snow free - so far!

Heading home on a frosty evening

The weather has been kind to me since Windy went to the garage. Sub freezing temperatures but at least the snow has remained in the North and I've been able to use the bike to get to and from work.
This was the view from Loaningdale yesterday evening.
