Day 54.37 - Dinner update.

Invited around to the Stotts for chilli and pancakes, yummy!

Day 54.37 - My Windstar has turned into a bicycle.

Before:

After:

Poor Windy failed her MOT and is awaiting parts from the States.
Poor Ted has discovered that his legs have forgotten what it is to cycle so it's probably just as well I have an enforced period of activity ahead of me :-)

Day 43.26 - Just so you know I'm still here ....

... A selection of meals that I remembered to take pictures of in the time since my last posting. Ok so I didn't take the camera to the Elphinstone Hotel where I had dinner with Angus last Monday.

Day 32.15 - Lunch and dinner

Pork pie salad for lunch and Tiger prawn rissoto for dinner.

The house is in disarray, boxes are piled everywhere, the Windstar rear seat fills the hallway.
I've been away for the weekend and have lost the plot packing wise!
Jenna gives me dirty looks as she squeezes past the car seat to get to her dogbed.
bureaucracy grinds on silently, keeping me guessing, making me nervous.
Worry worry, fret fret - better pour a glass of wine.

Porridge in Prestwick

I guess I'm just not used to having company at dinner because I forgot to take a picture of the delightful meal Frances prepared for me on Saturday evening. Too busy talking to Bob!
Anyway on Sunday morning we had porridge in tartan plates and it was almost as good as the debate between Frances and Bob regarding how one should prepare the perfect bowl of porridge.
Also, it seems that eating porridge is now all the rage as oats are the current popular favorite health food. Maybe Rockport could do with a "Porridge Bar"?

Jenna is a creature of habit

Even although I have removed the rear seat from the Windstar and folded the middle seat up to create a large space for furniture and box transporting, poor old Jenna just can't drag herself away from her habitual spot with her nose stuck to the rear windshield. All that room and she stays in "her" spot.

Nothing is getting done tonight ...

... because Artsworld on satellite is having a Johnny Cash evening. Lots of music, lots of commentary, and some rare archive footage.

Ohhh the shame of it ....

Reduced to ready meals again. I will not have the opportunity to go to Tesco again until next Sunday and so, much against my better judgment, I ventured into the worst shop in the universe (the local Co-op) and purchased sufficient prepared food to fill the gap. Perhaps next week will see a return to more palatable fare.
